The Bowls North team travelled to the sunny (windy) East Coast to participate in the Howard/Watson Challenge for 2019-20.
The Bowls North team travelled to the sunny (windy) East Coast to participate in the Howard/Watson Challenge for 2019-20.
Players from North Launceston, Midlands, Longford and Invermay represented Bowls North, along with players from Scamander, St Marys, Swansea and Bicheno representing the East Coast. The event this year was held at Swansea Bowls Club.
Bowls North was behind at the lunch time break by 10 shots, then after lunch, the Bowls North team was able to gain the shots required after lunch to be keep the Howard/Watson trophy in the Bowls North region for another 12 months.
Final Scores – Bowls North 87 to East Coast 82.
