2023 Bowling Arm Tasmania Regional Round Robin

The third and final round of the 2023 Bowling Arm RRR was held at Kings Meadows Bowls Club on Sunday, 30 April and was contested by teams of 10 armed bowlers from each of the State’s three regions.
Going into the round, North on 28 points had a narrow 1 point lead over South on 27 points, with North West third on 16 points. From the outset, bowling was highly competitive, and the competition lead seesawed throughout the day. Finishing with 4 wins and a draw, team North narrowly won the day over the North West on 4 wins and South on 3 wins and a draw. The final competition standings were –
North – 41 points
South – 37 points
North West – 28 points

A big thank you to the Kings Meadows Bowls Club for hosting the day. In particular to Les Reynolds, Rob Gorenewegen and Maggie Campbell for marking the singles, to Alona Rogers for umpiring throughout the day, and to Rae Simpson and her team for their hospitality and catering.
Thank you also to all who supported the raffle which raised $196.50. This which will go towards the cost of the State team competing in the National Bowling Arm Titles to be held at the Devonport Country Club in September.
The next event on the Bowling Arm calendar will be a Gala Day at the Longford Bowls Club on Sunday, 28 May 2023.
