Conditions Of Play – Sharing An Position

Bowls North this season has adopted into the Conditions of Play – Sharing an Position, to keep our older and less healthy players bowling longer.

In the first Bowls North pennant game for 2020-21, two of our finer gentlemen bowlers from West Launceston, Brain Mackey & Fred Heazlewood was able to compete in the Bowls North pennant competition under this Condition of Play. These Bowls North Members would not have been able to play this season but under this initiative from Bowls North, they will be able to continue playing and hopefully for many years to come. Both teams competing under this new ruling adapted very quickly to the format of play.
